Capturing your smiles for every season
This is our daughter, Avie Mae. When she was 15 months old, we finally received her diagnosis of Angelman Syndrome. It’s a rare neurogenetic disorder and one of the characteristics of this syndrome is smiling.
If you know Avie Mae, you know her smile and her laugh! it is rare not to see her smiling, and that’s where the name Behind the Smiles comes to play. While she went through endless doctor appointments, therapies, genetic testing, EEGs, etc I would always document those and called it “Behind the Smiles” and that is where the name comes from.

We recently moved from Sweet Home Alabama to start a new adventure in Colorado. We will travel back to capture our clients specials days, but we are so excited about all the new people we are about to meet and help capture their special days.
